To celebrate our Second Birthday, DVD Lounge will once again be celebrating by giving you $1.50 Rentals on Friday 27th, Satuday 28th & Sunday 29th March!

Since launching 24 months ago, DVD Lounge has signed up more than 3000 members in the Maroubra area. We would love it if everyone could come down and say G'Day this weekend.

Recently we have had several upgrades to our software to make it easier to use. The feedback has been great & with more software upgrades planned for the months ahead I am sure you will all love coming to DVD Lounge more often.

DVD Lounge is a proud member of Network Video who are celebrating their 15th Birthday, DVD Lounge will be celebrating by giving you $2.50 Rentals on Satuday 25th & Sunday 26th October. We will also be offering all members a FREE Weekly Children & Family rental.

Since launching 18 months ago, DVD Lounge has won a place in the hearts, minds of movie lovers throughout Maroubra and its surrounding suburbs. Without Network Video's support we certainly would not have been able to offer you all this great experience.

The Cannes Film Festival is a glittering memory of red carpets, provocative films and paparazzi flashes. But there is another film festival coming up and you don't have to be a VIP, or fly to France, to be part of it.

Throughout July, DVD Lounge MAroubra & other Network Video stores around Australia are partnering with Foodbank, Australia's largest hunger relief charity, for the inaugural national Cans4Films Festival. That makes July the month to get your cans out!

More particularly, to take cans of food to DVD Lounge Maroubra. Our aim is to collect over 500 cans of food in July for those in need.

Everyone who brings a can of food to DVD Lounge Maroubra will receive a weekly DVD rental absolutely free . . . and if you donate two cans you'll take three weekly DVD rentals home with you! Not to mention the virtuous, aw-shucks glow that comes with doing something for others. All cans of food will be donated to Foodbank and distributed to people who would otherwise go hungry. Star Track Express, one of Australia's leading freight companies, is supporting DVD Lounge, Network Video and Foodbank by contributing logistical and freight services such as packaging and transportation for the Cans4Films Festival.

The campaign goal is to raise 200,000 cans - or 50 tonnes - of food nationally. With DVD Lounge, Network Video and Foodbank, we stretch the length and breadth of the nation working in partnership to fight the hidden scourge of hunger in Australia, and with the support of Star Track Australia, July 2008 is the time to bring cans of food down to your local DVD Loungestore and pitch in.

So this July if someone says, "Show us your cans", it's all for a good cause: the Cans4Films Festival at DVD Lounge.

Due to the amazing support we recieved for our 1st Birthday celebration many customers have been unable to get their first choice of movie for $1.50 over the weekend.

There have been some enormous successes along the way, including DVD Lounge's debut in the 2007 Randwick Small Business Awards.

DVD Lounge has just introduced PS3, XBOX 360 & Wii games for rent. Games will be a 3 day rental to ensure you have the opportunity take full advantage of all the games features. Games will be in their own Genre on the selection menu.

Blu-ray is winning to war of the formats, with this in mind DVD Lounge has introduced Blu-Ray movies and at this stage will exclusivly be supporting this format.

Following Warner's recent decision to exclusively support Blu-Ray, Dean Taylor the managing director of DVD Lounge has thrown his support behind Blu-Ray but will not count out introducing HDDVD if the format war swings in the other direction.
